The second one, Full Body Burn, is not introduced until Day 8 of the 2-week shred. It’s either one called Workout to Lose Weight: Full Body Workout or Full Body Burn. And it’s done first, before the other videos scheduled for that day. The basis of the Chloe Ting 2-week shred challenge: all around burnĪlthough every day of the program is slightly different, there’s always a basic all-around video to get your heart rate up. In hindsight, maybe I should have done them after all. And I was already doing some simple stretching, so I felt it wasn’t necessary. Slowly, but surely.īy the way, Chloe Ting added warm-up and cool-down videos for every day of the 2-week shred, but they are optional. Besides, if you do the same exercises every day, you can see how you get stronger by how much easier they become. Some people complain about repetition, but can you really complain if a workout program is only 2 weeks long? You’re ultimately repeating a lot of the exercises, but how much variety do you need in 2 weeks time? It’s ultimately up to the individual, and I definitely got a little “ugh not again” at some of the exercises, but I sucked it up. So as I said before, the 2-week shred is a combination of videos to be done every day. Breakdown of the videos that make up the program This was my weight at the halfway point of the shred. But I did happen to visit my aunt who had one and I was at 48.8 kg–the same as always ( between 48-50 kg for the past 5 years, since I gave birth). I wasn’t able to measure my weight because I don’t own a scale, not since I moved to Suriname from the Netherlands, about 3 years ago. And I also measured my thighs where they are widest, as well as my arms. To get these numbers, I measured the slimmest part of my waist and the widest part of my hips. But I had a handy dandy tape measure at home so I was able to get it done. ![]() ![]() I wasn’t even sure how to do this so I had to Google. So I took my measurements for the first time ever–okay, except for the Victoria’s Secret sales advisors who try to quickly, and often inaccurately, measure your bust. A 1-hour (at most) commitment for 14 days is nothing, after all. It’s good to surprise your body with various forms of movement–and at age 32, I had nothing to lose. I still took measurements, for good measure. My measurements before the 2-week shred challengeĮven though my intention of doing this shred was to spice up my fitness routine, which is predominantly yoga, in different forms. And there are timers running on the screen, so you know how much longer you have left both for that specific exercise AND the overall workout. She also conveniently gives less impact/easier versions for you to do, should a particular exercise be too difficult. You can also use resistance bands or dumbbells, if you prefer. It doesn’t require any weights–but you do need a basic fitness mat of some sort. The 2-week shred is meant to slim you down and tone you up at the same time. It’s straightforward, and all the workouts are on YouTube, for free. This particular program means you’ll be working out between 35-60 minutes daily. And you do the videos scheduled for that day. What does the 2-week shred entail? You simply take a look at the calendar, here. It’s 11 days of workouts, 3 days of rest, to be exact. It’s a fitness program that takes 2 weeks to complete–and that includes some scheduled in rest days. Upon looking further, I discovered a 2019 version as well. So when I found out about Chloe Ting, she had just released this 2-week shred challenge for the year 2020. What even is the Chloe Ting 2-week shred 2020 challenge? I’m not sure she uses that much but it’s there if you simply can’t get enough. There is also a second channel where she posts non-fitness related content. There’s even some stuff there about her food and what she eats, etc. She also posts Before and After pictures of different people all over the world doing her challenges–and they are quite inspiring. And it’s absolutely astonishing how many views her videos get–we’re talking upwards of 1.3 billion! She has a whopping 15.6 million YouTube subscribers. I read that she has some degrees under her belt and she has this cute little accent. Hello, Asian vibes! Chloe Ting is a YouTube fitness guru from Brunei–but she lives in Australia. Who doesn’t like someone who creates free workout videos for you to do at home, without equipment, and on your own time? Props to her. Once I looked through some of her videos and what she was trying to put out there, it seems like she’s EVERYWHERE. It still amazes me that people can have such a huge following on platforms like YouTube-and I can get by not ever hearing about them. ![]() I had been living under a rock because I had not heard about Chloe Ting (or the Chloe Ting 2-week shred 2020 challenge, for that matter) until the COVID pandemic took us all by storm.
